I like this... But I can't quite pinpoint why... It's very catchy... I like the chorusy bit. It's growing on me...

I don't think that's true. Tyondai's father is the composer Anthony Braxton, but as far as I'm aware Toni is of a different set of Braxtons altogether.

A fan-made video for "TRAS", which I think is a much better tune...

I like it! It's in my head and probably won't come out of it for the next couple of days....

.....don't know if THAT's a good thing though :D

I like them Thumping Smurfs :)

EDIT: Oh I see now. It's from Warp records, off course :)

I like Battles' Atlas more every time -- i think this live version even better, less smurf about it:

weird this wasn't bumped for their latest one, Gloss Drop - IMO it's even better than Mirrored (though I wasn't exactly crazy about that one outside of a few tracks). for a math-rock group it's a crazy amount of fun - some Caribbean rhythms here and there, as always the drumming is astounding, definitely one of 2011's best. Ty isn't really missed, they get guest vocalists to fill several tracks, including the great Gary Numan on "My Machines".
